Who is Paxwood Acoustics?
Eddie Duncan, INCE Bd. Cert.
Founder & Principal Consultant
Eddie's passion for sound, environmental stewardship, and helping others has defined his career for over two decades. Specializing in acoustics and noise control engineering, with a primary focus on environmental permitting and compliance, he has managed over 400 acoustics projects nationwide.
A problem-solver at heart, Eddie enjoys rolling up his sleeves to work on all aspects of projects including modeling, measurements, data analysis, mitigation planning, policy development, stakeholder discussions, project management, and expert testimony. He brings a diverse set of experiences to his clients' projects having applied these skills across a variety of sectors some of which include renewable energy generation, transmission, and storage, mining, manufacturing, recreation, parks and public lands, transportation, residential development, and commercial development.
Eddie is Board Certified through the Institute of Noise Control Engineering and is a member of the Acoustical Society of America. He holds a Bachelors' degree in Engineering Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) where he focused on acoustics, and a Master's degree in Environmental Studies from Green Mountain College where he focused on environmental law and policy.
